The prestigious British legal publication Who’s Who Legal (WWL) has published its Commercial Litigation 2021 guide, with the ranking of the best litigation lawyers in Chile. In this edition, Apparcel Uriarte & Vassallo Abogados (AUV) partner Nicolás Vassallo Fernández was named for the first time as one of the best professionals in the category.
Nicolás is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile who obtained his LL.M in International Law from University College London (UCL). At 35 years old, he is the youngest lawyer among his peers to be recognized in this edition of WWL.
Nicolás specializes in civil and commercial litigation, with experience counseling clients in Chile and abroad in a variety of industries, including energy, technology, agriculture, finance and banking, health, construction and mining. He also specializes in national and international arbitrations, having participated in complex procedures of various kinds in both Chile and in Europe.

Prior to Apparcel Uriarte & Vassallo Abogados, Nicolás previously worked as a senior associate in the Prieto Abogados Dispute Resolution group in Chile; international lawyer in the law firms Baker Botts (London, 2016) and Volterra Fietta (London, 2016), In addition, he was a member of the list of Referee Judges at the Santiago Court of Appeals (biennium 2019-2020).
Currently, Nicolás Vassallo is a Referee Judge, a member of the list of arbitrators of the San Miguel Court of Appeals, and a professor of Public International Law at the prestigious Chilean universities Finis Terrae and Universidad del Desarrollo.
